CAMBRIDGE, Ohio -- State and local authorities continue to investigate a Saturday-morning fire on Cambridge's west side.
According to reports from the Cambridge Fire Department, crews responded to the 4th Street Diner at around 2:30am on Saturday to find the structure completely involved on the Steubenville Avenue side of the business. Several occupants of an apartment above the business were able to safely self-evacuate before firefighters arrived. No one was reported to be injured.
Six trucks and 15 personnel were called to the scene, and remained there until around 6:30am fighting the fire. The Byesville Fire Department was called in to cover the fire station for Cambridge firefighters.
Officials have not yet released how or where in the structure the fire began. Investigators of the State Fire Marshal's Office have been called in to assist.
