CAMBRIDGE, Ohio - Health care providers and public servants from the nine counties served by Area Agency on Aging, Region Nine, gathered Cambridge's Crossroads Branch Library this (Thursday) morning to hear from the Director of the Ohio Department of Aging, Bonnie Burman. The Director presented data that projects a rapidly aging Ohio population over the next decade and a half.
However, she feels this could be a positive thing telling AVC News, "What I hope everyone realizes is that as we age, we can get better; we can continue to thrive; we can continue to grow; continue to learn and contribute to our community."
Today's visit was one of a series Director Burman is making across the state. "I'm here for two purposes," she told us. "One is to thank everyone for their extraordinary work and then to listen to what the continuing needs might be and bring those comments back to Columbus so that we can continue to be responsive."
