CAMBRIDGE, Ohio -- What started out as a traffic stop on Monday, evolved into a foot chase on Woodlawn Avenue near Southgate Parkway.
According to reports, a Cambridge Police officer pulled a car over near Tim Horton's, at which time a male subject ran from the vehicle and tossed what is reportedly believed to be drugs onto the roof of Nickles Bakery. A number of Cambridge Police officers responded, including one of the department's K-9s. The subject was taken into custody and has been incarcerated in the Guernsey County Jail. 24-year-old Justin M. Carnes of McConnelsville has been charged for obstructing official business, along with several traffic violations. Further charges are pending, as an investigation into the incident continues.
