DOVER, Ohio --The Dover Tornadoes had a fantastic night against the Cambridge Bobcats with a 43-16 victory. The two teams were separated by a touchdown in the beginning of the fourth quarter, but a missed field goal by the Bobcats seemed to completely change the momentum of the game. The Tornadoes scored an additional three touchdowns in the fourth quarter, but the player of the game was on the Bobcats roster. Bobcat Errik Snell rushed for 154 yards and received one of the Bobcats' touchdowns. This game puts the Bobcats' overall season score at 3-4, and the Tornadoes at 5-2 overall. The Bobcats will be hosting Beaver at MacFarlane Stadium in Cambridge next Friday. The game will be broadcast on ESPN Cambridge, 107.9 FM.
COSHOCTON, Ohio -- The Meadowbrook Colts edged the Coshocton Redskins in the final minute of regulation to pick up a 20-14 win on Friday night.
Coshocton had the early lead but Meadowbrook was not far behind as the teams were tied through the third quarter. Not until the last minute of the fourth did the Colts score a touchdown to pull ahead.
Meadowbrook was led by Dalton Wiggins with a 194 yard pass and had 108 yards rushing, Clay Lapp had two of the TD's for the Colts, and Andrew Stine had the other. Meadowbrook is now 6-1 on the season.
Coshocton was led by Spencer McCrea as he caught a 4 yard touchdown pass, and Donald Stiteler with a 9 yard run. The Red Skins drop to 1-6 on the year.
CALDWELL, Ohio --- Caldwell used a huge fourth-quarter to take out Frontier, 36-13, on Friday night.
The Redskins and Cougars were neck and neck early on but a huge fourth quarter for the Redskins drove the Cougars out of Caldwell 36 to 13. Bricker Lori had 165 yards rushing for the Redskins and 2 touchdowns as the Redskins piled up 439 yards of total offense on the night. The Cougars were led by Dakota Welker's 25 yards rushing on a sloppily played night that saw 5 total turnovers for the Cougars to go along with their 286 yards of total offense. The Caldwell Redskins play next week against the Fort Frye Cadets as they try to continue their push into the playoffs behind their current record of 6-2.
BARNESVILLE, Ohio --- Barnesville suffered a homecoming game loss against Steubenville Catholic Central Friday night, 56-0.
The Crusaders scored early and often in the first quarter with four touchdowns to make the score 28-0 after the first quarter. By the end of the half, Steubenville Catholic Central held the lead at 56-0. Both teams went scoreless in the second half of the game, trying to execute more running than passing plays. Crusader quarterback Brenton Colabella went 11 for 12 with 161 yards. Shamrocks' player of the game Daniel Brown had 95 yards rushing and 18 carries, which he gain mostly in the second half of the game. Barnesville plays again at home against Monroe Central next week on WBNV. Steubenville Catholic Central faces Weir High School of West Virginia on the Crusaders' home turf. The Shamrocks drop to 1-6, and the Crusaders advance to 7-0.
