OLD WASHINGTON, OH---The Monroe Central Seminoles clinched the Pioneer Valley Championship on Friday night with a 43-12 victory over the Buckeye Trail Warriors. Seminole senior quarterback Curtis Nixon led the way with 14 completions, 23 passes, and 181 passing yards. Seminole Byran Duffy ran 117 yards, had one touchdown, and received 7 catches. And Monroe Central's Levi Brown chipped in with 20 rushes, 73 yards rushing, and two touchdowns. Warrior senior quarterback Morgan Daughtery ended the game with 21 rushes, 78 yards rushing, 110 passing yards, and one rushing touchdown. The Buckeye Trail ends their season at 4-6 overall and 2-4 in the PVC. The Seminoles end the regular season at 7-3 season and 6-0 in the PVC. Monroe Central will be heading to the post-season playoffs this next week. Their opponent is yet to be determined, with Bellaire, Centerburg or Newark Catholic the most likely pairing for the Noles'.
