News Personalities

Mike Partin: News Director/Morning News Anchor

A seasoned broadcast veteran, Mike got his start in radio in 1983 at a small station in Arizona. Mike loves the broadcasting business and has been involved in just about every level of radio.  In addition to news anchoring and reporting, Mike has been an air personality and has held various programming positions.  He's even done some minor engineering work at some small stations early in his career.

Mike is an award winner newscaster, picking up numerous citation from the Ohio Associated Press Broadcasters during the groups annual meeting and banquet. Mike was named first place in the Best News Anchor division in 2005, Best Individual Broadcaster in Ohio in 2000 as well as Best Broadcast Writer in the small market category in 2001. (see the stations awards site for more)

Mike came to WILE after a stint at WWWE/WTAM radio in Cleveland working as a news anchor and reporter.  He has worked for several radio stations in his 20+  years of broadcasting including WOBL in Oberlin, Ohio; WZLE/WRKG in Lorain/Cleveland, Ohio; WHLO in Akron, Ohio; WHK Cleveland; WEOL in Elyria Ohio; KASA in Phoenix, Arizona and was ABC News Radio's main reporter during the Cleveland Browns move to Baltimore.

Mike is an Arizona boy at heart, after being raised in Mesa, AZ.  Mike enjoys spending time with his family, which includes his lovely wife Tammy, with whom he's been married since 1990; "Daddy's Little Girl" Chelsi who loves to read and his son Brenden who loves to play football, baseball and basketball..

When Mike's not working informing East-Central Ohio on the latest news, he enjoys going to church where he is on the ministry staff, spending time with his family and coaching Cross Country at Zanesville Bishop Rosecrans High School and coaching baseball and basketball in the West Muskingum Youth League..

Mike loves his job as News Director at declares it would take more than a lot to get him away from East-Central Ohio!

Mike McKay: News Anchor/Reporter

Mike is an "old newcomer" to Radio having worked for WILE while attending Cambridge High School during the 70's.  Mike works part-time in the News Department covering Cambridge City Council, the Cambridge City School Board of Education and anchoring whenever needed.  Mike's full time career is serving as a Registered Nurse in the Surgical Services Department at Southeastern Med.

Mike married his high school sweetheart, the former Debbie Miller. Together, they have two girls, Kelly and Heather. Mike came back to the radio biz in 1998 because he missed being involved in broadcasting.  Adding a second job to an already demanding career, Mike doesn't exactly have time for hobbies, but, when he does have a spare moment, he enjoys photography.

Mike is an AP Award winner, placing second in the judging for Best Reporter in Ohio for small market radio in 2001.
